As of the 1^st of November 2009, Burwood Aviation Supplies ltd was sold by its original owner Frank Golding, and has been purchased by Daron Golding.  Daron Golding was one of the original people involved in the start up of Burwood Aviation in the early 1990’s and has been involved in helping the company grow from a small localised supplier of hardware into an global supplier of consumables and rotables within all areas of the Aviation market place. Daron was also heavily involved in the successful sale of the fastener side of the business to Burwood Fasteners in August 2008.

Frank said regarding the sale “ I wish both Daron and Burwood all the best for future success and feel it’s the right time for me and my wife to enjoy a retirement free from Business ownership after more than 35 years of owning various different companies. I will now have time to take more of an interest in watching my racehorses and pursuing other leisure activities that due to the time taken in running my businesses I haven’t had time to full appreciate, I also have the small matter of 3 young Grandchildren to enjoy”.

Daron said of the purchase” This is something that has been in the pipeline for a long time, and now that it has happened allows me to try and take the business further forward in a way I see fit for the current market conditions by establishing new links and partnerships and strategically investing in the right areas to take Burwood onto bigger platforms and into different arenas”.
